Who this applies to
Anyone who submits a listing request for a hosting company, and anyone with access to that company's creator dashboard once approved. This sits alongside our general terms of service — where the two overlap, this page governs the listing relationship specifically.
Getting listed
We don't allow self-registration. Every listing starts as a request reviewed by our team, as described on our for hosting companies page. We may decline a request or ask for more information before approving it.
What you're responsible for
- Keeping your pricing, plans, contact details, and website link accurate and current in your dashboard.
- Disclosing renewal pricing and any material limits on "unlimited" plans honestly — this is something we actively check for.
- Responding to buyer tickets raised through your listing in good faith.
- Not submitting reviews for your own listing, and not offering payment, free service, or any other incentive in exchange for a review — from anyone, about any host.
Ranking is never for sale
Nothing about your listing — payment, affiliate relationship, or otherwise — buys a better trust score, star rating, or directory position. Rankings are computed from trust score, rating, review volume, and profile completeness, and shown transparently as a ranking score on every listing. See our editorial principles.
Reviews and reports about your listing
You can reply publicly to approved reviews from your dashboard, but you can't remove or edit a review yourself. Buyers can also report your listing directly if something looks wrong — you'll see that a review is under review, but the report itself and any action taken is handled by our team, not you.
Suspension and removal
We may blacklist or remove a listing at our discretion if we find evidence of fraud, dishonest billing or renewal pricing, review manipulation, or a pattern of unresolved buyer complaints. A blacklisted listing stays visible with a warning rather than being hidden outright, so buyers can see why.
Changes
This is a placeholder agreement while trusthost.org is in development and will be replaced with a complete, legally reviewed version before public launch.
